Thank you for your interest in becoming a Centre consultant. Below is important information about the onboarding process. After you’ve read it, please complete the brief application. We will ask you to submit the requested documents at a later date.
CONSULTING AGREEMENT
The Centre’s master services agreement will govern our work together. It clarifies important expectations and lays a groundwork for successful collaboration. Please read the attached sample, which is provided for reference. We will send a customized copy for your signature after you submit your application.

INSURANCE
In order to manage risk, to help safeguard The Centre’s financial well-being, and to further clarify the independent contractor status of Centre consultants, all consultants are required to carry general and professional liability and to list The Centre as additional insured. Please read the attached insurance policy for details.

COVID-19
The Centre’s Board of Directors has mandated that The Centre will take a leadership role in promoting public health in the midst of the COVID-19 pandemic. All Centre employees are fully vaccinated. In order to provide in-person services, Centre consultants are required to be fully vaccinated, as well. Refer to the attached COVID-19 policy for more information.

Please fill out the attached W9, which we will ask you to submit in the near future. The form can be completed online using a PDF editor. Or, it can be printed, completed, and scanned. Please do not submit photographs of your W9. Our accountant will use the information to enter you into our bill-pay system and will securely store the form for reference.

BIOGRAPHY
The Centre includes consultant biographies in its project proposals so our clients can see the consultant’s qualifications. In the near future, we will ask you to upload a short Word document that highlights your background (please exclude special formatting and images). Refer to the attached sample.

The Centre is a Joint Powers Authority (JPA), a legal organizational structure not unlike a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization. As a JPA, the California Controller’s Office has designated The Centre as a special district, making The Centre a public sector agency – just like the clients we serve.
